Stand out with the crowd as 2021/22 Macron kit unveiled!

Edinburgh Rugby today unveiled its new home and alternate match kit for the 2021/22 season, designed and manufactured by the club’s Official Kit Supplier, Macron.

Developed in Italy by one of Europe’s leading brands in active sportswear, this year’s kit sees the club adopt both a bold burnt orange alternate jersey, and a striking home jersey, in the now traditional colour of navy blue.

Both jerseys carry proudly the logo of new Main Club Partner Scottish Building Society, who feature prominently on the chest of both shirts.

The club’s 2021/22 Macron kit is available to purchase online at and will be available in person from the Scottish Rugby Store at tomorrow’s Open Day at the ERS.

The new home jersey is navy blue with a mandarin collar, trimmed in burnt orange, with that colour also featuring on the edges of the sleeves.

The back of the neck is customised with the team colours and crest. The Italian teamwear brand’s Macron ‘Hero’ logo appears in white on the right breast, with the Edinburgh Rugby club badge on the left.

The home shirt is characterised by a sublimated design print on the sides and the lower back, consisting of a geometric tone-on-tone design that depicts three turrets inspired by Edinburgh castle, drawing on the club logo.

The back of the shirt features the embossed wording ‘EST 1872’, a reference to the year the club was founded. Completing the home kit are orange shorts and navy blue side bands, as well as navy blue socks with orange tops, trimmed with a slim white line.

The alternate jersey, also featuring a mandarin collar, is designed in burnt orange with the collar and sleeves trimmed in navy blue.

The back of the neck is customised like the home version, while the Macron Hero and Edinburgh Rugby club badge are both emblazoned in white on the chest.

The alternate version is characterised by the same graphic motif chosen for the home shirt, namely the geometric design representing turrets of Edinburgh castle, which in this case features on the front of the shirt as well as on the back at the bottom.

The back of the shirt, too, is tone-on-tone embossed with the wording EST 1872. The shorts are navy blue with orange side bands, while the socks are orange with a navy blue band at the top accompanied by a slim white line.
