Season Ticket Memberships double day-one record
Edinburgh Rugby fans snapped up season tickets in record numbers today as the chance to buy a piece of history opened in the club’s brand new 7,800-seater stadium for the first time.
Existing Season Ticket Members had the chance to renew their support from 10am this morning, with 1800 fans more than doubling the club’s day-one record for membership sales by 5pm.
The exclusive period for existing members ends one week today (Monday 21 June), when the window is then extended to Castle Club Members (10am).
The general sale opens on Monday 28 June (12 noon), with those who registered their interest earlier this season given a two-hour priority window (10am - 12 noon).
With high demand for seats or a space in the terrace, supporters are encouraged to act fast as each window opens to them to avoid disappointment.
Reserved seating in both the Main and Lothian Stands now approaches capacity for memberships, with good availability remaining in the Lothian Stand terrace, as well as both reserved seating and standing behind the goals in the Murrayfield and Riverside Stands.
Edinburgh Rugby Managing Director, Douglas Struth, said: “First of all I’d like to say a huge thank you to the club’s fans for showing their support in record numbers.
“It’s an incredibly exciting time for the club as we get ready to welcome supporters into the new stadium for the first time.
“It’s been a tough year for everyone in so many ways, so to have that kind of support is incredibly humbling and exciting.”

The new stadium footprint features four ticket categories (Cat 1, 2, 3 and 4) around the ground to suit every budget, in fully reserved seating or standing terraces, all closer to the action than ever before.
All categories give fans access to all regular season home games (nine league matches and two European Challenge Cup pool rounds) and access to two pre-season friendlies.
The new pricing structure ensures 50% of the adult Season Ticket Membership offering is available for around the same price as last season, with an affordable entry point.
Membership categories save fans around 20-30% of corresponding match-day prices, with direct debit options again available to help spread the cost in as many as four monthly instalments (if bought before Monday 19 July and three if bought before Thursday 19 August).
The easiest way to renew or purchase memberships is online. We recommend fans ensure they can login to their online ticketing account in advance of their sale period.
