P&P continue to back Prosper Programme
Principal & Prosper will continue to play a major role in driving forward Edinburgh Rugby’s community programme as they today re-sign as the Official Partner of the Prosper Programme, the club’s outreach initiative for disadvantaged communities.
The Independent Chartered Financial Advisors have been part of the club’s sponsor family since 2015, and Main Club Partner since 2018, and will now change focus to the ‘Prosper Programme’, a club initiative they’ve supported in their name since 2019.
The P&P Prosper Programme is designed to help children who face a variety of challenges within the education system, by sharing the values that play a key role within the sport of rugby.
The Prosper Programme has already supported several schools and clubs throughout the city of Edinburgh through practical training sessions and classroom discussions on life skills, delivered by the club’s community team.
The extended partnership will see Principal & Prosper remain within the club’s partner family, while continuing to make a difference in the local communities that do so much to support Edinburgh Rugby.
On the continued backing of Principal & Prosper, Edinburgh Rugby Managing Director Douglas Struth, said: “I’m delighted we can continue to work with Principal & Prosper as the Official Partner of the club’s Prosper Programme.
“To be able to continue our partnership with P&P shows just how much they care about the club and our community programme and is real vote of confidence in a programme that we all believe has and continues to make a difference to young people’s lives.
“P&P have played an integral role in helping develop the programme for a number of seasons. It’s an initiative that goes from strength to strength.
“We’d like to thank P&P for their brilliant support throughout what was a really challenging year and we’re looking forward to our continued relationship in the seasons to come.”
Edinburgh Rugby Community Manager, Ruaridh Pye, said: “You really can’t downplay just how significant a role P&P have played in ensuring that the Prosper Programme continues to make a difference in the lives of children throughout the city.
“We’ve got some kids who only turn up to school because of the P&P Prosper Programme, and that’s the sort of impact that Principal & Prosper should be immensely proud of.
“With young people returning from lockdown and the uncertainty which that has created, the teachings and values of the Prosper Programme are now needed more than ever – so as a community team, we’re delighted that the partnership has received this support in its own right and will continue into 2021/22.”
Stewart Siegel, Principal & Prosper Director, said: “A strong focus and reason for our involvement in Edinburgh Rugby from the outset was the community element and the benefits that the wider community have had from the prosper programme, is very humbling.
"We are delighted to continue our involvement with Edinburgh Rugby via the continuing support of the Prosper Programme.
"The work Ruaridh Pye and his team have done in the last three years has been amazing, and we are very honoured to be able to assist in its continuation."
