New stadium season ticket prices confirmed
Edinburgh Rugby today confirmed the much-anticipated season ticket membership prices and categories for the club’s new 7,800-capacity stadium, four days before the first seats in the house are sold to returning season ticket members (this Monday 14 June).
The new stadium footprint features four ticket categories (Cat 1, 2, 3 and 4) around the ground to suit every budget, in fully reserved seating or standing terraces, all closer to the action than ever before.
Season ticket prices start at £50 for U18s, £125 for concessions and £185 for adults.
All categories give fans access to all regular season home games this coming season (nine league matches and two European Challenge Cup pool rounds) and access to two pre-season friendlies.
The new pricing structure ensures 50% of the adult Season Ticket Membership offering is available for around the same price as last season, with an affordable entry point.
Membership categories save fans around 20-30% of corresponding match-day prices, with direct debit options again available to help spread the cost in as many as four monthly instalments.
The easiest way to renew or purchase memberships is online. We recommend fans ensure they can login to their online ticketing account in advance of their sale period.
Season ticket members from the 2019/20 season will get the first chance to renew their memberships from this Monday 14 June (10am), before Castle Club Members can renew or purchase a Season Ticket Membership from Monday 21 June (10am).
Season Ticket Memberships will then go on general sale from Monday 28 June (12 noon), with those who registered their interest earlier this season given a two-hour priority window (10am -12 noon).
The club is anticipating high demand for the chance to secure a seat or space in the terrace for the season/s ahead, so supporters are encouraged to act fast as each window opens to them to avoid disappointment.
Edinburgh Rugby Managing Director, Douglas Struth, said: “We’re delighted to be able to confirm our Season Ticket offering for next year, as well as the keenly anticipated on-sale dates.
“We’re incredibly grateful to the club’s fans for their fantastic support throughout the pandemic, and we’ve worked hard, both internally and with our Fan Forum, to create a pricing structure that’s not only reflective of that support but also reflective of the significant investment that’s been made in the new stadium, our squad, and what will be a whole new Edinburgh Rugby match-day experience.
“Despite that investment, it was always a key priority for us to retain a significant portion of affordability in our new pricing structure, as well as an entry point that was comparable with the 2019/20 season and represented value for money. That’s always been at the heart of the club’s offering, and I am delighted this remains so.”
He added: “We cannot wait to get started and welcome our fans back into our new home next season. The look, sound and experience of an Edinburgh Rugby match is going to be something very special indeed.”
The new ground has been named ‘Edinburgh Rugby Stadium’ (ERS), while the four stands have been named to combine directional clarity for supporters, with a nod to the club’s closest, wider rugby region: The Main Stand (N), The Lothian Stand (S), The Murrayfield Stand (E) and The Riverside Stand (W).
The 360° virtual walk-through of the club’s new stadium has been updated with the stand names to allow fans a further opportunity to consider where they wish to secure their seats for the seasons to come.
