OVERALL URC RECORD
This is the first-ever meeting between the two sides.
STORY OF THE MATCH
Edinburgh Rugby host DHL Stormers in Round 3 of the United Rugby Championship in the first-ever meeting between the two sides.
The capital club will be looking to bounce back from a heartbreaking loss in Treviso last weekend that saw Benetton seal a one-point victory with a last-gasp drop goal.
Despite the Round 2 loss, Mike Blair's squad have showcased a free flowing attack in the opening rounds of action, crossing the whitewash on eight occasions so far, with Ben Vellacott claiming Player of the Match in back-to-back fixtures.
The DHL Stormers arrive in the Scottish capital still searching for their first win of the 2021/22 campaign. Following defeat to Benetton in Round 1, the Cape Town club went down narrowly to Munster at Thomond Park last weekend, despite leading 15-0 at half time.
With a fast track at DAM Health Stadium, and good weather forecast, both sides will be looking to get the ball through the hands in what should be an open and exciting contest.
