STORY OF THE MATCH
Scotland’s two giants meet for the second time in a week after Saturday’s closely-fought encounter at BT Murrayfield, which Edinburgh claimed 10-7.
Hosts Glasgow Warriors have won just one of their last seven Guinness PRO14 matches, a 19-10 success against Cardiff Blues in Round 8, and just once at home in any competition since February.
After a slow start to the season, Edinburgh have picked up some form and have won the last two matches. However, they sit fifth in Conference B with just three league victories this season.
The overall head-to-head record lies at 19 wins each and one draw.
LAST TIME OUT
The two sides met in the 1872 Cup opening leg on Saturday night in a match that was certainly for the purists.
After a scoreless opening 65 minutes, Richard Cockerill's side powered to victory thanks to Magnus Bradbury's try and Jaco van der Walt's penalty.

Glasgow Warriors have won just one of their last seven Guinness PRO14 matches: 19-10 against Cardiff Blues at Newport in Round 8.
The Warriors have won just once at home in any competition since February, against Scarlets in Round 2 of the PRO14.
Edinburgh Rugby have won their last two first team matches, at Sale in the European Champions Cup and at home to Glasgow last weekend but have not won three in succession since February.
The last six encounters between the famous old rivals have been evenly shared with three wins apiece, but Edinburgh’s three victories have been in their last four encounters and all at BT Murrayfield.
Edinburgh’s two previous victories in eight visits to Scotstoun were in May 2017 and December 2018.
