Fans View: Montpellier 2019
As part of our #CapitalClassic series, we've asked our supporters to share their favourite memories of each memorable fixture! This week, we get the fans view from 2019's Heineken Champions Cup win over Montpellier.
An intense 80 minutes
Chelsea Douglas: "It was a very intense game with end to end action for the whole 80 minutes. There wasn’t much between the teams & it all came down to accuracy. Jaco definitely had his kicking boots that day!"
An electric atmosphere
David Taylor: "It was a very gritty win after the week before winning against Toulon away. There were definitely nerves among the fans and some players, but we got the job done in the end."
Lewis Acott: "I brought my best friend to the game and we had one of the best nights of the year. It was a great way to wind down after our mock exams just a few weeks before. The atmosphere was electric and the sense of excitement around the stadium was palpable. Low scoring but one of the most intense matches to grace the embra regulars in recent seasons!"
Chanting loud and proud!
Nicola Garforth: "Well I remember chanting loud and proud, chewing my nails a lot and our scrum being awesome. I also remember Mish getting injured and the Edinburgh physio nearly getting beaten up by Bismark Du Plessis for nudging the ball with his foot!"
