Edinburgh Rugby injury update
Head Coach Mike Blair today (Monday 2 May) confirmed that full-back Henry Immelman and winger Ramiro Moyano will miss the remainder of the season through injury.
Immelman sustained a knee injury in the EPCR Challenge Cup Round of 16 win against Bath, while Moyano (bicep) picked up a knock in the following week's URC win over Zebre Parma.
Both players will be subject to the ongoing care and assessment of the Edinburgh Rugby medical team during their respective rehabilitation periods.
Blair also provided an update on centre James Lang (knee) and hookers Stuart McInally (calf) and Dave Cherry (arm), all of whom picked up injuries in Saturday's Ulster match.
Blair said: “They are going to have some scans and see the extent of the issues with those injuries.
“They’ll probably struggle a bit for this weekend but we don’t have those results back.
“I think Stuart [McInally] is very unlikely. Dave [Cherry], you never know until you’ve had that scan, how much of it is bruising and how much of it is something more permanent, so we’ll just have to wait and see with him.
"We don’t know yet with Lang. It was a knee-on-knee injury, so it just depends how long it takes to heal. He’ll be in with the physio today and we should get a better indication of where he’s at after that."
Blair did however confirm that winger Darcy Graham is progressing well from his quad injury sustained in training last month.
He said: "Darcy’s touch and go at the moment. We’re just waiting to see how he gets through a bit of training but he’s not far off."
