Edinburgh and It’s Good 2 Give to launch 5 Days to 10K challenge
Next week, we’re encouraging all our supporters to get behind our Official Charity Partner, It’s Good 2 Give, via our 5 Days to 10K challenge
The goal is simple. We want to get It’s Good 2 Give up to 10,000 followers on both their Twitter and Facebook social channels, and you can play your part by simply following their pages!
We’ll be running the campaign from Monday (29th) to Friday (3rd) giving ourselves five days to hit our target of 10,000 followers on both pages.
Keep an eye on our social channels where we’ll be sharing some of It’s Good 2 Give’s heart-warming video content, giving you plenty of reasons to hit that follow button!
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, It’s Good 2 Give have continued to offer support to young people with cancer and their families on a day-to-day basis – including offering hospital packs, supermarket vouchers, games, puzzles, books and nutritional snacks.
The charity provides so much for young families, not just in Edinburgh, but throughout Scotland and we believe that is a cause worth getting behind – so why not give them a follow and support our 5 days to 10K campaign?
The club’s Community Manager, Ruaridh Pye, has worked with It’s Good 2 Give throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and said: “Its Good 2 Give are a local Edinburgh based charity led by Lynne and Ian McNicoll who are full time volunteers.
“Their team do some absolutely amazing work, hence why we have chosen them to be our Official Charity Partner. They have asked us [Edinburgh Rugby] to help them increase their social media followers upwards of 10k to allow them an opportunity to share this amazing work with you, hence the 5 days to 10k challenge!
“The more you hear about the charity, the more you’ll love them. The people, the service, the Ripple Retreat, the young ambassadors, the trolley dollies, the list goes on. Let’s all get behind them in true Edinburgh Rugby style and show them what we are capable of in five days!”
It's Good 2 Give Co-Founder, Lynne McNicoll, said: “We were delighted to be chosen as a Charity Partner by Edinburgh Rugby and really enjoy working with everyone there.
"Doug [Struth], Ruaridh [Pye], the players and the whole behind the scenes team are so enthusiastic and participative. When they offered to help us with our 10k campaign, we jumped at the chance to have some of their loyal supporters follow us too.
"We’re excited to see how the 5 day challenge goes and would like to thank everyone in advance who helps our charity by following us next week."
