Edinburgh academy trio to face France U20

Scotland U20 Head Coach Kenny Murray has named three Edinburgh Rugby academy prospects in his final 23 for Friday's clash with France U20 (Friday 25 February, kick-off 8pm) at DAM Health Stadium - live on BBC iPlayer.

Patrick Harrison starts at hooker for the third match in a row, and will be joined in the starting front-row by prop Mikey Jones. Rudi Brown is in line for his first Scotland U20 cap, the Watsonians back-row named as a replacement.

Murray's side are yet to taste victory in the 2022 Six Nations, having lost to England in the first round, and falling to a narrow defeat on the road against Wales. The team will look to bounce back from those results when facing 'Les Bleuets'

Head Coach Kenny Murray said: “We’re still a bit frustrated from the last game against Wales. We were in the Welsh half a lot in that first half and had numerous opportunities to score, so we just need to execute our plays better in order for us to do that.

“The fact that we’ve only made one change to the team shows that there are positives to take from that game. We know that France will be a physical outfit, but we showed against England that we can match that, and some.

"As we’ve said previously the team didn’t perform for the full-80minutes. If we do that then we will get the result we have been after.”
