Champions Cup pool stage schedule announced

Edinburgh Rugby will start their 2022/23 Heineken Champions Cup campaign against Saracens at StoneX Stadium on w/o 9 December as the pool stage schedule was today confirmed by tournament organisers EPCR.

The capital side will then host French Top 14 runners-up Castres at DAM Health Stadium the following weekend (w/o 16 December) in the first ever Heineken Champions Cup clash to be hosted at DAM Health Stadium.

Head Coach Mike Blair will take his side to Castres’ Stade Pierre-Fabre in the New Year on w/o 13 January before a can’t-miss pool stage finale against Saracens at DAM Health Stadium on w/o 20 January.

Exact dates, kick-off times and broadcast details for all fixtures will be confirmed at a later date by tournament organisers EPCR.

Securing a 2022/23 Season Ticket Membership remains the only way to guarantee your place at DAM Health Stadium for both Champions Cup fixtures which are included in the Membership package (One pre-season game, nine URC fixtures and two Heineken Champions Cup matches).

With an interest free, direct debit payment plan (up to four monthly payments) and student tickets starting at £99, there is a Season Ticket Membership for everyone to join another massive campaign in the Scottish capital.

Reacting to the European fixture schedule confirmation, Head Coach Mike Blair said: “Today’s announcement really adds to the excitement and anticipation for what is set to be a massive season for us as a club.

“Bringing Heineken Champions Cup rugby to DAM Health Stadium is something we’ve worked hard to achieve and we can now look forward to hosting two really strong and impressive sides in Castres and Saracens in front of our passionate home support.

“With a section of the squad now back for the first block of pre-season, we’re working hard to make sure we’re ready to hit the ground running for the season start.”
