Challenge Cup opponents confirmed
EPCR have today confirmed the club's Challenge Cup opponents and tournament format for the 2021/22 season.
OPPONENTS
Edinburgh Rugby have been drawn in Pool C alongside Saracens, London Irish, Brive and Pau, where the capital side will face each team once, with two fixtures at the ERS and two fixtures away from home.
Mike Blair's side will begin their European campaign against Saracens at StoneX Stadium on the weekend of 10/11/12 December, followed by a bye on weekend of 17/18/19 December.
Edinburgh will then hit the road to take on London Irish at Brentford Community Stadium on the weekend of 14/15/16 January before returning home to face Brive at the ERS on the weekend of 21/22/23 January.
The capital side will then face off against Pau at the ERS in the club's final pool stage fixture on the weekend of 8/9/10 April.
Dates, kick-off times and broadcast times for each fixture will be confirmed in due course.

FORMAT
The pool stage will consist of five rounds with each club playing four matches home or away against opponents in its own pool. One club in each pool will have a bye in every round.
The three highest-ranked clubs in Pool A, the three highest-ranked clubs in Pool B, the three highest-ranked clubs in Pool C, and the highest-ranked fourth-placed club, as well as the three clubs ranked 9 to 11 from each of the Heineken Champions Cup pools, will qualify for the Round of 16.
