A number of players have stepped up their game in 2021/22 so we’ll be celebrating the Burgh man that has improved the most throughout the season.

CBS CONSULTING LEADERSHIP AWARD

The Leadership Award is new this year and will see the coaches select the player that has showcased the greatest leadership qualities throughout the season.

BREADALBANE YOUNG PLAYER OF THE SEASON

With so many younger players playing their part in a successful campaign, it will be a tricky task to choose this year’s award winner. From Connor Boyle to Matt Currie, there’s no doubt the future is bright in the capital.

Last year’s winner: Scotland international Jamie Hodgson was named Young Player of the Season after an impressive year in the capital boiler room.

CAULLIE LUG

The Caullie Lug is a supporter voted award given to the player that has shown the most commitment to the jersey throughout the season. Pierre Schoeman was this month voted the winner of the award and will be present the Caullie Lug by the Edinburgh Rugby Fans Group.

Last year’s winner: Luke Crosbie never fails to give 110% and that never-say-die attitude was recognised by the Burgh support as they voted the back-row winner of the famous Caullie Lug Award.

BREADALBANE MAN OF STEEL

The Man of Steel award is given to the best defender throughout the season and with so many players showcasing that grit needed when fronting up in defence, it will once again be a tricky decision for our coaches selecting the winner.

Last year’s winner: Jamie Hodgson grabbed his second award of the evening after a stellar defensive season.

GLEN MORAY PLAYERS’ PLAYER OF THE SEASON

Voted by the squad, the Players’ Player of the Season is often the accolade that means the most to the players, with the award a true representation of the squad.

Last year’s winner: Eroni Sau was voted Players’ Player of the Season. The Fijian winger was at his devastating best throughout the season and contributed significantly in both attack and defence.

SCOTTISH BUILDING SOCIETY PLAYER OF THE SEASON

The Scottish Building Society Player of the Season is the main award of the night and given to the club’s best player in 2021/22.

Last year’s winner: Luke Crosbie was named Player of the Season after a hugely impressive campaign in the capital back-row.
