2020-21 Macron kit launched!
Edinburgh Rugby has today unveiled its new home and away match kit for the 2020/21 season, designed and manufactured by technical sponsor, Macron.
Developed in Italy by Macron – one of Europe’s leading brands in active sportswear - both shirts have been crafted in a Body Fit cut, while their Armevo fabric gives both players and supporters maximum comfort on and off the field.
The 2020/21 home and away shirts will once again proudly carry the logo of main club sponsor Principal & Prosper on their front.
This season’s home shirt is once again navy blue, but features a new ‘polo shirt’ collar that adopts an orange band on the underside, with the logos of club sponsors Galbraith and Dentons positioned on top.
An all-new chevron effect design personalises both sides of the jersey and follows the shape of the club crest in a sublimated burnt orange graphic, while the logo of club sponsor Glen Moray can be found designed on the sleeve of the official match shirt.
The club continues to pay homage to its proud history as EST. 1872 once again features on the back of the shirt – signifying Edinburgh’s first-ever fixture against Glasgow on 23 November 1872.
The home shorts are also navy blue and adopt the same chevron pattern down both sides, while club sponsor JBC once again features on the back. The home socks are the same shade of blue, featuring a simple burnt orange and white upper band. These complete an all-navy style for this season’s home look.
The away kit is once again white and features the same polo shirt collar as the home jersey – only personalised with navy blue and orange band.
That same colour combination is again featured in vertical fashion on the sleeves, while a sublimated, stacked graphic composed of the same chevron design as the home kit transitions from a subtle tone to transparency as it reaches the club crest.
The away shorts are again white with navy blue lateral bands, while the socks are a bold burnt orange with an upper white band enriched by two thinner horizontal white stripes and another in navy blue.
Developed and characterised by the icon of the Italian brand, the Macron Hero, it symbolises the achievement of target, fatigue, passion and determination under the Macron philosophy: Work hard. Play harder.
