2020-21 Champions Cup fixtures confirmed
EPCR have today confirmed the dates and kick-off times for Rounds 1-4 of the 2020-21 Heineken Champions Cup season.
Edinburgh will start start their European campaign at home to La Rochelle on Saturday 12 December (kick-off 8pm), before travelling to face Sale Sharks at AJ Bell Stadium the following weekend (Saturday 19 December) with the cross-border encounter once again kicking-off at 8pm.
Rounds 3 and 4 will take place in the New Year, with Edinburgh hosting Sale Sharks on Saturday 16 January (kick-off 5.30pm), before Richard Cockerill's side make the trip to Stade Marcel-Delfandre on Saturday 23 January (kick-off 6.30pm local time) to face La Rochelle in their final pool stage fixture.
The previously announced new tournament format sees 24 clubs made up of eight representatives from each of the Gallagher Premiership, the Guinness PRO14 and the TOP 14 drawn into two pools of 12 – Pool A and Pool B - with the top four from each pool qualifying for the Quarter-Final stages.
The Quarter-Final will be played over two legs (w/o 2 and 9 April), followed by a Semi-Final (w/o 30 April) and Finals which will be held in Marseille (22 May).
