2019-20 Ticketing Update

As a club, we are incredibly grateful for your patience and support in awaiting an update on the situation surrounding the tickets you have purchased for the remaining fixtures in the 2019-20 season.


Guinness PRO14 has now set a target date to conclude the 2019-20 season with two rounds of derby games against Glasgow Warriors on the weekends of 22 and 29 August 2020, followed by a potential Semi-Final and Final on the weekends of 5 and 12 September 2020.

However, given current circumstances and restrictions, it is anticipated that these games will require to be played behind closed doors at BT Murrayfield. On that basis, we have taken the decision to offer three options to all Season Ticket Members and two options to the relevant Match Ticket Purchasers.

These options take into the account the kindness that has already been shown to the club by supporters during this period, while we’re appreciative that many of our supporters will have their own personal finances to consider, with the ongoing situation impacting upon all walks of life.

Take your time to look at the options below, and ensure you complete the online form which will be sent to the lead purchaser directly by our ticketing team.

SEASON TICKET MEMBERS

  • 1 – Ticket credit scheme

    This scheme allows supporters to receive a reimbursement in the form of credit on match tickets or Season Ticket Memberships for next season.

    This means, a pro-rata ticket credit to the value of the four home fixtures missed from your 2019-20 Season Ticket Membership - to be credited to the price of a future Season Ticket Membership product.

    As an extra thank you for your continued support, we will increase this credit by around 10%.

  • 2 – Ticket contribution scheme

    This scheme allows the club to keep the full value of your 2019-20 Season Ticket Membership within the club as a contribution.

    This would be used to support our operating costs over the coming months – and will help us maintain our role in the community and in the day-to-day lives of our fans during these difficult times.

    If you choose this option, we thank you in advance. Furthermore, you will receive a personalised letter of thanks from Richard Cockerill and will get your name recorded in a dedicated location of our new stadium to recognise your exceptional support for the club.

  • 3 – Season Ticket reimbursement

    A pro-rata refund. This allows you to receive a partial reimbursement on your 2019-20 Season Ticket Membership, to the value of the four home fixtures missed.

MATCH TICKET PURCHASERS

  • 1 – Ticket contribution scheme

    This scheme allows the club to retain this money as a contribution.

    This allows Edinburgh Rugby to retain the income generated through match ticket sales, which would be used to support our operating costs over the coming months – and will help us maintain our role in the community and in the day-to-day lives of our fans during these difficult times.

  • 2 – Match Ticket reimbursement

    A refund of the value of the match tickets you have purchased for any of the four home games not played in season 2019-20.

    How do I take part in the ticket contribution scheme?

    To contribute this season’s match ticket or Season Ticket Membership fee to the club, simply fill out the form which will be sent to the lead purchaser by our ticketing team and select the ticket contribution option.

    What will my contribution go towards?

    Your match ticket or Season Ticket Membership contribution will be reinvested into the club.

    Supporters will be able to see that their money is being reinvested back into their club with the contribution going towards the operating costs of the club and support our day to day running over the coming months. This contribution will also help us maintain our role in both our community and in the day-to-day lives of our fans.

    How do I take part in the ticket credit scheme?

    To receive pro rata credit towards a Season Ticket Membership product for next season, simply fill out the form which will be sent to the lead purchaser by our ticketing team and select the ticket credit option.

    How do I receive a refund?

    To receive a pro rata refund on match ticket(s) or Season Ticket Membership(s), simply fill out the form which will be sent to the lead purchaser by our ticketing team.

    What is meant by “pro-rata”?

    This means that you will get a proportional credit or refund, relevant to the value of your Season Ticket Membership(s) and the numbers of games missed. For this season 4 of the 16 games have been missed.

    When will 2020-21 Season Ticket Memberships go on sale?

    As the club now has clarity on the 2019-20 Guinness PRO14 season, we can work towards providing supporters with information on securing you’re a future Season Ticket Membership product for 2020-21.
