Scotland international prop Simon Berghan joined Edinburgh from Canterbury in 2014 and made his debut for the club off the bench against Cardiff in April of the same year.

Berghan was a standout player for the Crusader Knights, the development side of Super Rugby side Crusaders, before making the move the capital.

After a string of impressive performances for Edinburgh, Berghan earned his first international cap for Scotland – who he qualifies for through his Stirling born grandfather – against France at Stade de France in February 2016.

He has earned three contract extensions during his time at the club, most recently penning a two-year deal, which will see him remain in the capital until at least May 2021.
