Electric fullback Blair Kinghorn joined his hometown team in May 2015 and has developed into one of the club's most exciting backline talents in recent history.
Kinghorn signed his first professional deal on his return from taking part in the World Rugby U20 Championship in Italy in the summer of 2015.
He made his professional debut, off the bench, in the 70th minute of Edinburgh round five Guinness PRO12 match against Zebre in October 2015 and scored his first try in the 45-10 victory over Treviso during the 2016/17 season.
Kinghorn enjoyed a breakout 2017/18 season under Head Coach Richard Cockerill as the fullback finished the PRO14 campaign with the most metres gained in the league, as well as a place in the end of season Dream Team.
The Edinburgh Acadamy product was rewarded for his fine form with a call up to the Scotland squad during the 2018 Six Nations, scoring a try on his first start against Ireland.
Kinghorn then made history in 2019 when he scored Scotland's first Six Nations hat-trick since 1989 in the 33-20 victory over Italy. Kinghorn signed a contract extension keeping him in the capital until at least 2021.
The fullback's impressive form continued in 2019-20 where he continued to make his mark in European competition.
Kinghorn crossed the whitewash at home against Bordeaux-Bègles and Wasps, making him the club's top try scorer of all time in Challenge Cup competition.
The rangy full-back penned a new deal with the club in January 2021, taking him beyond his fifth season in the Scottish capital.
Kinghorn made his 100th appearance against Glasgow Warriors in March 2021 and became the club's youngest centurion (aged 24 years and 117 days) of all time.
