The last Heineken Cup game at Murrayfield saw a season high attendance roar on the capital club when they secured a bonus-point win over Racing Metro (48-47) and the players today called for even more fans[r1] to help the club back to the top of Pool 2.
Centre Matt Scott said: “The crowd was incredible for the Racing Metro match and “Success in the Heineken Cup means winning your home games and we need our supporters to come out in force again as we look for the win that could return us to the top of our Pool two with two games to go.”
Edinburgh’s unbeaten run in the competition came to an end at Cardiff City Stadium last weekend which meant the Blues leapfrogged the Murrayfield men to take the top spot.
Now, in the return fixture, Edinburgh have the chance to do likewise, with Scott eyeing a return to the Edinburgh back-line after being forced off with a hip injury in the Racing Metro match when the score was poised at 17-17.
He added: “They [Cardiff] showed how strong they are at home last weekend and now it’s our turn to entertain them at Murrayfield so it’s up to us to make the most of home advantage and put them under pressure.”
