Prop Jack Gilding in trainingThe two week break for European competition has seen the RaboDirect PRO12 teams return with an impressive record in both Cup competitions.

Edinburgh Rugby, Leinster and Scarlets top three of the Heineken Cup pools, with Ospreys sharing the lead in a fourth while Dragons head their pool in the Amlin Challenge Cup.

In Europe’s premier competition, RaboDirect PRO12 teams have won 11 of the 18 games played, with the Welsh regions unbeaten.

The RaboDirect PRO12 action starts on Thursday at the City Stadium, Cardiff, when Cardiff Blues face Aironi Rugby and wraps up in Limerick where reigning champions Munster aim to exact revenge on the visiting Edinburgh Rugby having dropped from first to third since their loss to the capital club (29-14) at Murrayfield in September.
