Tim Visser believes Edinburgh will bounce back from the wash-out against Dragons and says the team will be aiming to raise their collective accuracy levels for the next Magners League match against Scarlets on Friday 4 December (kick off 7.05pm).

Underneath a relentless shower of heavy rain, Edinburgh started slowly and allowed Dragons to rack up a nine-point first half lead before clicking into gear.

Visser, with his trademark barnstorming runs down the flank, helped the team to reduce the deficit to just one point, but Edinburgh ran out of steam before the full time whistle sounded.

Visser said: “With the conditions we experienced today, it is obviously difficult for a winger to get the ball and I think we did reasonably well playing the ball around.

“But we weren’t clinical enough and the performance wasn’t good enough which was reflected in the final score.

“We spent a lot of time in their half and we really wanted to score a try early in the second half, so it was frustrating to only come away with three points.

“It is the game you’ve got play when you’re in that situation – take the points and then move on from there.

“I think we came reasonably close, but it is hard to come so close and not to score a try.

“We learned that we cannot give away so many penalties in the first half and still expect to win.”
