A sight every Edinburgh supporter had been waiting for – Ross Rennie back in action. The Scotland flanker recorded his first appearance in 11 months for Gael Force in the British and Irish Cup against Cornish Pirates at Camborne on Sunday afternoon.
Unfortunately, his dynamic presence in the back row could not prevent the new team, consisting of professionals and National Academy players, from losing 29-8 to the English Championship side.
But the 23-year-old played for the opening 40 minutes and came through the contest unscathed – a great sign for Edinburgh and for Scotland heading into the second half of the season.
