Edinburgh's pre-season preparations are continuing apace this week with the training camp in St Andrews. The players left Murrayfield on Tuesday morning, bound for Fife and three days of intense activity. Next week sees the club's 13-strong Scotland contingent involved in the national team's first squad meet of the new campaign, but it will still be all systems go for Rob Moffat and his men.
The club have lined up an informal friendly against Boroughmuir at Meggetland next Tuesday (10 August, kick-off 7.30pm). Supporters are encouraged to come down and spot some new faces, while getting behind the younger members of the squad as they take the first steps on their journey to becoming Edinburgh stars. Moffat said: "The Bath and London Irish games are the focus of our pre-season, but the Boroughmuir game is going to be a really useful hit out in terms of getting guys used to playing for Edinburgh. It's important, too, that we keep engaging with the club game and anything that helps keep that relationship strong is, in my view, mutually beneficial."
