Nine of Edinburgh’s first 12 Magners League games will be screened live, after details were announced of secondary television coverage for the competition. BBC ALBA, the Scottish station who this season have come on board as Magners League broadcast partners, will show the home games against Munster, Leinster, Ulster and Glasgow as well as the visits to Ravenhill, the RDS, the Liberty Stadium and Firhill. S4C, the Welsh-language channel, will screen Edinburgh’s season opener at Cardiff Blues on Saturday 4 September.
