Tickets for the annual festive derby went on general sale today as the build-up continues to the opening leg of the 1872 Cup on Saturday 22 December (kick-off 5.15pm).

Glasgow are once again the visitors to BT Murrayfield as Edinburgh look for a repeat of last season’s famous opening leg victory which saw Richard Cockerill’s side snatch victory from the jaws of defeat to seal a 18-17 victory over the Scotstoun outfit.

Over 23,000 fans watched Edinburgh and Glasgow Warriors face-off at BT Murrayfield last season in the first leg of the world’s oldest inter-city rugby derby, and this year we’re hoping to make it even bigger!
