Miller Homes to sponsor Guard of Honour

After a successful inaugural year as a member of Edinburgh Rugby’s partner family, leading UK home builder Miller Homes is building on its relationship by becoming one of the capital club’s community partners.

The new deal will see Miller Homes become title sponsor of the match day Guard of Honour, the tunnel formed by local children to welcome players to the field. The partnership will also see the young Guard of Honour participants enjoy free entry to an Edinburgh match, and get a chance to meet some of their favourite Edinburgh players.

Prior to their appearance on match-night, participating clubs will also welcome some of Edinburgh’s players to one of their training sessions.

Edinburgh Rugby Managing Director, Jonny Petrie, said: “We’re delighted to have enhanced our partnership with Miller Homes, another valued sponsor of Edinburgh Rugby.

“Our rugby community is the bedrock of this club, so it’s great to have Miller Homes partner with us to enhance our matchday experience, and to have local clubs share the spotlight with the team as they take to the field.

“We look forward to working with Miller Homes on delivering a truly memorable experience for the participating kids and their clubs.”

Stewart Lynes, Managing Director of Miller Homes Scotland, said: “We’re creating a number of new communities across Edinburgh and the Lothians over the coming years. For us that means building new homes and importantly, it also means supporting the local community. This partnership with Edinburgh Rugby allows us to do just that by inspiring the next generation of rugby players and fans.

“Edinburgh Rugby has an exciting season ahead of them and we are looking forward to working with them to deliver these once in a lifetime opportunities for young rugby enthusiasts.”
