BACK THE CLUB TO THE QUARTERS!
This Sunday Edinburgh Rugby face London Irish at Murrayfield with a chance to put a Scottish club among Europe’s elite, in the quarter-finals of the Heineken Cup (kick-off 3.15pm).

Student and U18 tickets are just £5, adult tickets £15 (£20 on the day) and senior citizen tickets cost £10 - available at www.edinburghrugby.org/tickets, by calling 0131 346 5180 and at the Murrayfield ticket centre.

Tickets are available on the day from the ticket centre and north stand cash/credit card turnstiles.

Currently top of Pool 2, Edinburgh face an Irish Exile side with designs on the Amlin Challenge Cup and a point to prove about the quality of their side – a quality which shone though in their 34-14 demolition of Racing Metro in Paris.

With a place in the Amlin Challenge Cup QF already secure, Edinburgh can make the last eight of the Heineken Cup in two ways: 1) yield more competition points in the match than Cardiff Blues in their corresponding fixture v Racing Metro to top the group or 2) Achieve a points’ taly high enough to qualify as one of the two top-performing runners-up.

Edinburgh Rugby captain Greig Laidlaw said: “We need your support. The Racing Metro game was huge and we went over to France and did a job. Now we're back home with a chance to achieve something special in front of our home support this weekend at Murrayfield, with a lot of people backing us to the quarter-finals.”

Last month Edinburgh Rugby topped the Scottish RaboDirect PRO12 attendance record when 13,246 fans turned out at Murrayfield for the 1872 Cup derby. With the crucial encounter beckoning, the club is urging all rugby supporters to back the club to surpass its Heineken Cup record, set against London Wasps in 2008 (7,711), in its most important match in almost a decade.
