Only 500 tickets remain on sale for tomorrow’s 1872 Cup derby decider between Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby at Firhill (kick-off 5.35pm).

With the RaboDirect PRO12 clash quickly heading for a sell-out, fans still wishing to attend are urged to act immediately to secure their spot.

Around 1,000 tickets have been sold since Thursday evening, and sales on Saturday morning were once more reported as brisk.

Supporters can buy online here, by calling 0844 800 3490 or in person at the Glasgow on Ice box office on George Square and the Gordon Street and Sauchiehall Street branches of Greaves Sports.

Supporters are reminded that with so few tickets left, there is a very strong possibility of no seats being available for sale on match-day.

Fans are also advised that there will be increased demand for on-street parking in the vicinity of Firhill on Sunday, and are encouraged to car share where possible. Everyone is encouraged to arrive as early as possible, particularly those requiring to collect tickets.

The Ticket Centre behind the Jackie Husband stand will open for collections at 3pm tomorrow. The turnstiles and stadium bars will open at 4pm.

Fans can get in the mood for the derby by taking part in the club’s pre-match party in George Square.

Hosted in conjunction with Glasgow Life and Clyde 1, there will be music, player signing/photo sessions and a fully licensed bar. The party will take place in the Winter Café Bar, beside the ‘Glasgow on Ice’ rink, from 12noon-4pm.
