Edinburgh backs Nick De Luca and Phil Godman boldly shed some light on the team’s new kit for the 1872 Cup derby matches against Glasgow Warriors (Sunday 27 December at Firhill and Saturday 2 January at Murrayfield, both live on STV) by wearing the brightest and loudest jersey in the history of Scottish rugby.

The new-look jersey will be worn by 1872 Cup holders Edinburgh for the two eagerly awaited Magners League clashes against old rivals Glasgow over the festive period and promises to inject some extra pizzazz into the fixtures.

Scotland centre Nick De Luca backed the introduction of the neon shirt and believes the new-look kit will brighten up the games; both on the pitch and in the stands. To buy the jersey please click here or call 0131 346 5044 - stand out from the crowd.

De Luca said: “I think it is great that we have put a strip out there that will get us noticed. This is a memorable jersey for what promises to be a couple of memorable games.”

Specially designed as a Limited Edition shirt to celebrate the 1872 Cup derby matches, the brand new Edinburgh third shirt, designed by Rhino, is likely to become a valuable collector’s piece.

Constructed from high specification 280 gramme Cooldry fabric which wicks moisture away from the body and keeps the body cool, the shirt offers all the benefits of a top professional match jersey in a distinctive eye-catching neon sublimated print design. The shirt also features breathable mesh panels with no side seams for additional comfort.

Both De Luca and Godman featured in Scotland’s Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Test  win over Fiji last Saturday and are in the squad to face Australia at Murrayfield on Saturday (21 November, kick off 5.15pm).
