The Club currently focuses on four charitable entities – CHAS, Maggies Centre Edinburgh, Sick Kids and the Royal Marines. We also continue to support local charities and rugby clubs where possible, especially those who have close associations with the local rugby community.
Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) is a Scottish charity that provides the only hospice service in Scotland for children and young people. CHAS runs two children’s hospices, Rachel House in Kinross and Robin House in Balloch. www.chas.org.uk
Maggie's is about empowering people to live with, through and beyond cancer by bringing together professional help, communities of support and building design to create exceptional centres for cancer care. www.maggies.org
The Sick Kids Friends Foundation was set up in 1992 to support the work of the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh. Over 100,000 children come through its doors each year from all over the east of Scotland. www.edinburghsickkids.org
Based at RM Condor, their barracks in Arbroath, 45 Commandos personnel regularly deploy outside the United Kingdom on operations or training. The Edinburgh Rugby squad spent three days in July 2011 at RM Condor to assist their preparation for the new season. www.royalnavy.mod.uk/royalmarines
