Edinburgh's associate club, Broughton Rugby are delighted to announce that the England Women's 7s squad will be training at Wardie Playing Fields on the eve of the Women's International Rugby 7's Tournament at Murrayfield on Sunday 1 June. The session will be take place between 1.30pm - 3.30pm on Saturday 31st May.

England Sevens Head Coach and former England Mens 7s Captain Simon Amor and Assistant Coach Mike Friday are spearheading England’s Sevens campaign as the team continue their preparations to qualify for the inaugural IRB Women’s Rugby World Cup Sevens in Dubai in 2009.

Last Sunday on the London leg of the Men's IRB 7's, the English Women defeated the New Zealand Aotearoa Maori 7's in a one-off fixture.  This was a tremendous feat for the English as the Kiwis had won the Hong Kong 7's Tournament four years in succession.
