ROADWORKS & DIVERSIONS
There are multiple roadworks and diversions in operation in the centre of Edinburgh and routes leading to Murrayfield. It is imperative  you allow plenty of extra time for your journey to the game. There are plenty of activities to enjoy at Murrayfield before the match, food and drink available to purchase. Tram works in progress at Haymarket please see tab below for details.

Haymarket

HAYMARKET TRAIN STATION
Due to the anticipated high number of rugby fans and the ongoing tramworks at Haymarket Station, measures will be put in place to manage this in the most effective way. For your safety there will be pedestrian diversions in operation so please follow the instructions from the stewards and police officers who are there to assist you. As most of you will be aware, there is a queuing system in place for approximately 90 minutes after the game. Customer Service staff and British Transport Police will be on hand to assist.

The front door to Haymarket station will be closed and customers should access the queue from Haymarket Terrace via the car park. Any customer who requires assisted travel – eg, wheelchair users – should report to Customer Service staff at the front door. Customers travelling to Dunblane, Bathgate or Glasgow Queen Street are asked to turn right at the car park entrance and then past Rosebury House (in the centre of the car park) and follow the instructions of ScotRail staff and the British Transport Police.

All other customers should enter the car park via Haymarket Terrace. Please stay on the right-hand side of the road to access the station. Please bear in mind that, although ScotRail has strengthened services where possible and is operating additional services on major routes, travel on a specific service cannot be guaranteed and this should be considered when planning your journey.

The City of Edinburgh Council and Lothian and Borders Police are advising the public who will be travelling through Haymarket on Saturday 7 April 2012 to plan ahead for travel disruption. Please allow extra time if you are travelling via Haymarket as the area will be very busy and there are tram works in progress which may cause delays. Please follow instructions from the stewards and police officers who are there to assist you. Road closure information can be found here. For up-to-the-minute travel information and advice visit @edintravel twitter page and tweet your travel updates using #edintravel.
