EDINBURGH PAIR'S RECIPE FOR SUCCESS PDF Print
Thursday, 11 October 2007
Edinburgh’s Andrew Maxwell and Nick De Luca came up against Phil Vickery on Tuesday night (9 October), but ended up with cauliflower salad as opposed to a cauliflower ear. The two dashing backs met TV chef Vickery as opposed to his namesake, the England captain and prop, at the Food Standard of Scotland’s Recipe for Success event.

The six recipes cooked up on the evening were salt-free to promote healthy eating and Vickery prepared a salt-free curry, salt-free broth soup and a salt-free warm salad.

Ireland A international Maxwell and Scotland A international De Luca then spoke to the audience about their diets and how they manage to eat healthily in their jobs as professional rugby players.

TV and radio presenter Shereen Nanjiani was there at the event as well as the players tackled some healthy meals.
