Edinburgh lock Craig Hamilton has been sharing his thoughts on Sunday’s Greaves Sports 1872 Cup rematch against Glasgow Warriors at Murrayfield (kick-off 5.35pm).
In an exclusive video interview with www.edinburghrugby.org, the second row called on Edinburgh to focus on their strengths and provide the right sort of performance and result for another big holiday crowd.
Hamilton, who used to turn out for Glasgow, said: “We need to play our own game, get our basics right and not give away any cheap points.
“It’s a massive game for us in terms of the season, and we’ll be giving everything to make sure it goes the right way.
“The derby games between these teams are always massive – personally, having switched sides, the feeling hasn’t changed. It’s always a must-win game, especially at this point in the season.
“For anyone who hasn’t come along to an 1872 Cup match before, I’d sell it to them by saying it will be a great day for family and friends, with brilliant rugby and a really special atmosphere.”
Tickets for Sunday’s game are available online at www.edinburghrugby.org, by calling 0131 346 5180 or by visiting the Murrayfield Ticket Centre (off Roseburn Street) in person.
