Edinburgh centre Ben Cairns will today make his 100th appearance for the club in the Greaves Sports 1872 Cup clash with Glasgow Warriors at Firhill (kick-off 5.35pm).
The classy midfield man has become a lynchpin of the side since bursting onto the scene in 2007 and remains a vital link in both defence and attack.
Head coach Rob Moffat today congratulated the 25-year-old on reaching his century and looked forward to seeing him continue to flourish in the coming seasons.
Moffat said: “Ben has been a really big player for the club for quite some time now, and it’s good to be able to call on someone of his ability and attitude going into a massive match like the one in front of us today.
“He’s a guy who is always working hard at his game, and he’ll continue to get better.”
Here’s to many more happy afternoons and evenings for Cairns in the black and red.
