The event will be hosted by Gordon Smith, at Mar Hall, Renfrewshire on Sunday 14 August with Dougie Donnelly keeping the scores of other sporting heroes including Walter Smith and Alan Rough for football, Paterson and Ian McLauchlan championing rugby, and two live ‘mystery guests’, bringing a hilarious twist.
Guests will enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbly on arrival, at 7pm, followed by a delicious three course meal prepared by award winning Head Chef, Leon Quate.
The quiz will then kick off and be completed by a good bit of banter with the sporting celebs taking questions from the audience. There's lots of fantastic raffle prizes to be won including British Airways flights from Glasgow to New York, and many more items to be auctioned including sporting memorabilia signed by our sporting heroes.
You can reserve your very own table of 10 for £500, or buy individual tickets, £55 each. To make your booking or for more details please contact Alison on 0141 226 3793 or at alison@crossroads-scotland.co.uk. If you would like to stay at a nearby hotel, we have negotiated a special rate for our guests at the Gleddoch House Hotel & Golf Club.
I do hope you can come along and join our sporting celebs in supporting Crossroads Caring Scotland, a national charity supporting thousands of carers and vulnerable individuals throughout Scotland. There are approximately 660,000 unpaid carers in Scotland providing work worth £7.6 billion every year. People from all walks of life and backgrounds are carers. Official statistics cite that 1 in 8 of us is a carer, at this time. It is estimated that 1 in 5 of the Scottish population will be a carer at some point in their life, caring for a family member or friend.
