Edinburgh will start their 2011-2012 Heineken Cup campaign with a trip to Reading to face English Premiership side London Irish.
This lunchtime European Rugby Cup announced details of the first four fixtures in Pool 2, while also disclosing who Edinburgh will play in their final two pool matches in January.

The confirmed dates and kick-off times are as follows:
Heineken Cup Pool 2
Saturday 12 November – London Irish v Edinburgh, Madejski Stadium, Reading, kick-off 1.30pm
Friday 18 November – Edinburgh v Racing Metro 92, Murrayfield Stadium, kick-off 8pm
Friday 9 December – Cardiff Blues v Edinburgh, Cardiff City Stadium, kick-off 8pm
Friday 16 December – Edinburgh v Cardiff Blues, Murrayfield, kick-off 8pm.
Sky Sports are listed as broadcaster for the opening pool fixture, while Welsh language channel S4C are listed as broadcaster for both games against Cardiff.
Precise dates and kick-off times are yet to be determined for the final two pool games. However, Edinburgh will be away to Racing Metro 92 at the Stade Yves du Manoir in Paris on the weekend of 13/14/15 January 2012 and conclude the pool campaign at home to London Irish on the weekend of 20/21/22 January.
Edinburgh head coach Michael Bradley has spoken of his excitement at the “winnable opportunities” of being drawn in this pool.
He added: “I believe this could be a very close group so the key thing is to make home advantage really count and the more fans that can support us at Murrayfield the better.”
