In today's exclusive Black and Red Radio interview, Edinburgh Rugby stand-off Phil Godman talks about the frustrations of long term injury and the contrasting emotions of returning to match fitness in time for the 2012/12 RaboDirect PRO12 season but missing out on provisional Scotland squad selection for the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
He said: "Given the nature of the injury it's a slow process of recovery so I just can't wait to get back out there. It's been quite exciting getting back out there with the boys, there's a really good buzz around the club. It's an exciting time at Edinburgh and it's a great opportunity for me and the team to put down a marker in the first eight games while the World Cup's on."
Up to ten under 18s can cheer on the capital club for free with every paying adult, as Edinburgh take on Alan Tait’s Newcastle Falcons at Murrayfield on Friday 26 August (kick-off 7.30pm).
