Chris Paterson has scored three penalties under a snowstorm at Murrayfield with Bath stand-off Nicky Little contributing two for the away side in tricky conditions. Little’s first long range penalty fell short – hitting the post – and Edinburgh escaped with the visitors remaining pointless.

Edinburgh then produced a superb passage of play that should have lead to a try, but all of the enterprising work did not translate into a score.

Little then equalized for Bath on the 22-minute mark with a well-taken penalty, but Edinburgh should have been in front after dominating for 10 minutes.
