The fresh faced enforcer has been named amongst the replacements for the second Test against world champions, South Africa (Saturday, 27 June, kick off 2pm BST) – becoming the first Scot to be involved at that level since Gordon Bulloch in 2005.

Ford said: “It is a great honour to be representing Scotland in a Lions jersey in a Test match. I’m really looking forward to it. Hopefully I can do everyone proud if I do get onto the pitch and fly the flag for Scottish Rugby.”
