Both Mike Blair and Ross Ford flew the Edinburgh flag for the Lions in Port Elizabeth and ensured the tourists maintained their 100% winning record heading into the first Test match against world champions, South Africa.

Although it was a closely fought contest, the Lions managed to secure a 20-8 win over the Southern Kings in front of a crowd of 35, 853.
