FORD: CAPE TOWN CRUSADER PDF Print
Saturday, 13 June 2009

Edinburgh hooker Ross Ford featured as a second half replacement during the British and Irish Lions’ 26-23 win over Western Province on Saturday, but Mike Blair missed the fixture after aggravating an injury.

The 28-year-old scrum half sprained a ligament in his foot in training on Friday which unfortunately meant that his place on the bench went to Shane Williams. Nevertheless Ford, alongside former Edinburgh lock Nathan Hines, flew the Black and Red flag on the day and the Lions kept their 100% record intact heading into the first Test against South Africa.
