Edinburgh stars Allister Hogg, John Houston, Roddy Grant, Jim Thompson, Andrew Turnbull and Greig Laidlaw all made significant contributions to help Scotland 7s progress through to the semi-final stages of the Emirates Airline London 7s at Twickenham at the weekend.

Unfortunately Scotland 7s were unable to defeat hosts England in the last four, despite Houston crossing the whitewash, but the team still made history by progressing through to the semi-final.

Thompson, Turnbull and Grant all scored tries as Scotland defeated Portugal 22-21 in the quarter final with Laidlaw scoring in the previous win against Fiji. Now they have the opportunity to showcase their skills and speed in EH12 for the Emirates Airline Edinburgh Sevens this weekend (Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May).
