The rain bucketed down on the streets of our beloved city, but it couldn’t dampen the spirits of the Edinburgh squad as they kicked off another European adventure by marching through the streets of the Capital.
Kicking off the start of the 09/10 Heineken Cup campaign, which starts at Stade Francais on Saturday 10 October, kick off 2.35pm, Edinburgh’s squad, led by vice captain Allister Hogg and helped by children from Compass School, chatted to supporters and handed out promotional material to passers by.
The march kicked off at the Castle and ended up by the Wellington Statue on Princes Street. Meanwhile, captain Mike Blair and head coach Rob Moffat headed down to Reading’s Madejski Stadium, home of London Irish, for the British media launch.
Come and watch Edinburgh take on Ulster at Murrayfield in the Heineken Cup on Saturday 17 October, kick off 3.45pm (call 0131 346 5180 and remember to take advantage of our great value AnyGame vouchers). It promises to be the biggest match between the two teams since the 2003 Celtic Cup Final at Murrayfield.
