Fans of Edinburgh and Glasgow Warriors who can’t make it along to Firhill or Murrayfield for all the Friday night fun now have the option of watching their teams in Magners League action live on BBC ALBA.

Between the first round of games this weekend and the turn of the year, the Gaelic language channel will broadcast 14 pro-team fixtures, culminating with the now-traditional back-to-back derby clashes. Further coverage will be announced for the second half of the season. The live action kicks off on Friday night, when Glasgow Warriors host Leinster at Firhill (kick-off 7.05pm). Edinburgh's first home game, against Munster, will be shown on Friday 10 September (kick-off 7.05pm).

Supporters can access BBC ALBA’s output in a number of ways. Sky subscribers should head to channel 168, while Freesat users can select channel 110. Games will also be shown live on BBC iPlayer (www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer), where footage will be available for seven days post-match.
