This evening, lock Steve Turnbull captains Gael Force against Plymouth Albion in the British and Irish Cup at Lasswade (kick off 7pm, free admission) and the starting line-up contains wing Andrew Turnbull, scrum half Ross Samson, props Ryan Grant and Davie Young plus flanker Fraser McKenzie.
Also kicking off tonight at the Stadio Vittorio Pozzo in Biella, scrum half Greig Laidlaw leads Scotland A against Italy A (kick off 7pm UK time) with wing Mark Robertson, centre John Houston, wing Simon Webster, prop Kyle Traynor, hooker Andrew Kelly and lock Scott MacLeod in the starting line-up. Lock Craig Hamilton, flanker Roddy Grant and stand-off David Blair are named amongst the replacements.
On Saturday (live on BBC Scotland), Scotland face Italy in Rome with Allan Jacobsen and Ross Ford packing down against the home side’s front row. Mike Blair, Nick De Luca and Phil Godman are on the bench for Andy Robinson’s side.
