THE REAL BATTLE OF BRITAIN SET TO BE STAGED AT MYRESIDE

Forget tonight’s football in the east end of Glasgow, the real Battle of Britain will take place in west Edinburgh on Saturday when Scotland’s number one team, Edinburgh take on London giants, Harlequins at Myreside (22 August, kick off 3pm).

With a huge number of both England (Nick Easter, Danny Care and David Strettle) and Scotland (Chris Paterson, Ben Cairns and Allister Hogg) internationalists potentially on show; it has all the ingredients of a Calcutta Cup classic at a fraction of the admission price.

After last year’s record-breaking season, everyone associated with the club is genuinely optimistic about what the new campaign has in store for the Black and Red Army.
