De Luca dotted down in the corner inside the first minute following some some purposeful attacking play. Phil Godman orchestrated the move - his pass found Ross Rennie who shrugged off two tackles before off-loading to Allister Hogg. Hogg's pass found Godman again, who slotted a grubber into the corner and while the Ospreys defence hesitated, De Luca swooped to score. Ospreys responded with three penalties from stand-off Matthew Jarvis and a try from Scotland internationalist Nikki Walker, but Edinburgh survived a second half scare to generate some more momentum ahead of the showdown with Wasps. Cross crossed the whitewash from close range following some continuous pressure from Edinburgh's in-form front five with Allan Jacobsen named man of the match for the home side.
