First club you ever played for?
Kelso minis when I was about six. I played there right up through until I was 18
First position you every played in?
Prop. I moved to the back row when I went to High School and then became a hooker when I joined the Borders at 18.
First time you thought you would play professional rugby?
Probably when I was 16. I was training quite a lot and I enjoyed it, so I thought it would be good to be professional.
What was your most memorable try?
Scoring in Argentina for Scotland in the summer
Who has been your most difficult opponent?
Szarzewski of France – the one with the hair!
What is your greatest ever achievement?
Playing for Scotland
Where was your greatest ever holiday?
Going to Mexico in 2005
What is the greatest film you’ve ever seen?
The Godfather Part II. I only watched it recently, but I thought it was brilliant

It is probably something like 50 Cent

It is a really friendly place

Tony Gilbert was the one who persuaded me to change position

Walking my dog

To finish as high as possible in the Magners League
