Simon Lockhart Webster is Edinburgh’s record try scorer in the Magners League and remains one of the most elusive runners in the whole competition. After moving north in 2002, Webster made his first appearance in the black and red in a friendly against Newcastle Falcons at Meadowbank, and has been a fixture around Murrayfield ever since. He signed a new three-year contract in June 2009 and celebrated by helping Scotland ‘A’ win the IRB Nations Cup in Romania, scoring two tries against Uruguay. On the Test stage, Webster has enjoyed success, winning the Calcutta Cup and helping the side beat Argentina away from home in the summer of 2008. He turned professional in time for the 2000/2001 season and went on to make his debut for Northampton Saints against Newcastle Falcons. He qualifies for Scotland through grandparents from Greenock. Away from rugby, Webster enjoys drinking coffee with his friends and listening to music. | Player Statistics 2010-11 Season | | Games | | Tries | | | Started | | Conversion | | | Substitutions | | Penalty Goals | | | Points | | Drop Goals | |
